Bircher Muesli was developed around 1900 by a Swiss physician Maximilian Bircher-Brenner for his patients and is still a very popular breakfast throughout Switzerland and Germany. It has now become very popular in meal prepping for breakfasts in lots of different meal plans especially for training and weight loss. The original recipe called for much more fresh fruit than grain and soaked the raw oats overnight since they took some time to soften.
This morning I had a call from my dear friend Fatima Bulbulia, who told me she was popping by. I rustled this adapted version of Vanilla Protein Bircher Muesli up in 15 mins and thought we would have some with coffee. However, as she arrived she told me she was fasting. I packed a container for her to have after fast breaking treat but here's the recipe for all of you ❤
